Who are we?
We are a company based in Ashford, Kent. We work all over the county for some of the largest house builders – Crest Nicholson, Chartway, Redrow, Barratts Eastern, JA Ball, Bouygues UK.

Lee Construction was formed in 1984 by Lee Higgins. Lee was originally a Carpenter working in London on individual housing developments and then diversified into contracting. Lee Construction was incorporated in 1999 and became known as Lee Construction Ltd. In 2017, Leon Acquisitions was created and carry out small works, buy to let properties & refurbishments. To date, Lee Construction Ltd have a workforce of 95, consisting of 78 male and 3 female Carpenters, and 14 apprentices.
Working for Lee Construction has given me a wide scope of work, allowing me to further my experience in every area of Carpentry, as well as encouraging me to become a Supervisor. Good quality place to work.

What we offer the next generation
Young people will be apprentices on an employed status. We work in partnership with East Kent College – Folkestone. The young people will work towards their NVQ Level 2 in Site Carpentry which is a 2 year course, attending college once a week and site 4 days a week.

Dave Caspell. Risk Assessments & Method Statements are specifically written to include apprentices and young people.
- Appointed Apprenticeship Coordinator
Rebecca Stowell. All apprentices have a point of contact for their NVQ training. Rebecca liaises with organisations such as EKC & CITB.
- Appointed Lee Construction Supervisors
Steve Morgan, Senior Supervisor, Joe Bashford, Neal Abbott, Sam Hughes and Ashley Creed supervise the apprentices and run the sites on a daily basis.
